This year's theme centers around the 85th anniversary of birth of Amelia Earhart.   In 1928, Earhart became the first female passenger to cross the Atlantic by airplane. Amelia Earhart Girls in Engineering Day

Held annually, the Amelia Earhart Girls in Engineering Day supports girls grades 4-8 to continue STEM curriculum throughout middle school and high school, then pursue college degrees in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math).
